Our PC104 system

CPU board

First one

Our CPU Board is a Mops586 from Kontron, it is a Pc104 form factor shipped with a i586 CPU running at 100MHz, we hope we will change it with an ARM or PowerPC? based one.

Second one

Folowing the previous incident (HW burned), we brouth on ebay a new CPU board, this one is an APX4D from Blue chip technology.

ISA/Pc104 bridge

Version 1

We've made this first ISA/PC104 bridge board, because as the CPU board is like an old PC, it request a VGA graphic card to setup the bios.
This simple backplane allow us to plug an ISA VGA board.

As i was shipping new HW on ebay, i've seen this ISA/PC104 bridge, since our one is quite aging, i simply bought it!

Pc104 Backplane and power

Version 1

This first backplane and Power board is embedded on the robot, it support 3 H-bridge for the 3 motors, connectors for ethernet and for RS232, leds, etc..
It's lacking support for battery based power supply, and the needed sensors (distance, obstacles, ...)
